Sylvan Starbough Rife

Sylvan's art form is a unique way of doing special-effects photography that is very crystalline in nature. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and his middle name is not Starbough for nothing - his images are saturated with rainbow colors!  He refers to his art as Spectrallusions.   An intriguing effect of his images is that viewing them tends to attune and resonate the viewer into a state of "crystalline consciousness".  More recently, Sylvan has been further evolving his art - from still images into flowing video images, which are currently being used by a light show called Brotherhood of Light, which is currently touring with music groups such as The Allman Brothers Band. 

Sylvan's images are also used on the cover of Iasos' "Jeweled Space" album and "Crystal Vista" video.

Public Display:  Sylvan's art can be regularly viewed at the Maritime Hall in San Francisco.  In addition to the Brotherhood of Light, his work is also being used by the following lightshow companies and rock promoters:   Bill Graham Presents and Liquid Lights.
